Legal information
Cookies
What this website stores on your device – and what it does not.
In brief
This website sets no cookies at all during a normal visit. We measure reach without cookies: nothing is stored on your device and nothing is read from it. That is also why there is no consent banner – there is simply nothing for you to agree to. A single cookie is used only if you explicitly object to measurement: it records that objection.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website can store on your device. They cause no damage there. A distinction is made between session cookies, which are deleted automatically when you close your browser, and persistent cookies, which remain stored for a defined period. Cookies that are strictly necessary for a function you have explicitly requested may be set without consent (§ 25 (2) TDDDG); all others require your prior consent. Because our measurement never touches your device, the consent requirement of § 25 TDDDG does not apply here.
Cookies on this website
All cookies used here are our own (first-party). No third-party cookies are set: we do not use a content delivery network, an upstream web application firewall or an external spam protection service. The contact form works without a session or security cookie; protection against automated submissions runs entirely on our server.
| Name | Purpose | Category | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
cc_optout |
Records that you have objected to audience measurement, so that your objection is honoured on every further visit. It is only ever set if you trigger the objection yourself. | Strictly necessary for the function you requested (§ 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG), no consent required | 5 years |
As long as you do not object, your device is left untouched: no cookie is set and none is read. The previously used cookies cc_consent and cc_vid are no longer set; any leftovers are deleted automatically on your next page view.
Local storage in your browser
Besides cookies, websites can store data in what is known as local storage or session storage. This website uses neither. Neither the navigation nor the sermon and music players store anything on your device; all settings apply to the current page view only.
Statistics without cookies
We use Matomo for audience measurement – entirely on our own server, with no transfer to third parties. We record, among other things, the pages you visit, time spent, referring source, device class, approximate country of origin and whether sermons or music were played. IP addresses are shortened before storage, there is no fingerprinting, and nobody is recognised beyond the individual visit. The legal basis is our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). If your browser sends “Do Not Track”, we do not measure at all. Details can be found in our privacy policy.
Object to measurement
You may object to audience measurement at any time (Art. 21 GDPR). One click is enough; the objection takes effect immediately and permanently for this browser.
Your current status is loading.
The objection does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out up to that point. If you clear your browser cookies, cc_optout is removed as well – you would then need to set the objection again.
External services and embedded content
Fonts, images, audio and video files are hosted entirely on our own server. No Google Fonts are embedded and no maps or players from Google Maps, YouTube, Spotify or comparable providers are integrated. Such providers therefore cannot set cookies when you simply visit our pages.
External links – such as the route link to Google Maps, the WhatsApp link or links to our profiles on podcast and music services – only take you to the respective provider after you click them. From that point on, their cookie and privacy notices apply.
Should players or maps be embedded directly in future, they will be fully blocked prior to your consent and a consent banner with equally prominent “Accept” and “Reject” buttons will be provided for them.
Browser settings
You can configure your browser to reject cookies in general, to allow them only for individual websites, or to delete them when you close the browser. Cookies and local data already stored can also be deleted at any time. You will find the relevant options in your browser settings under privacy or security. If strictly necessary cookies are blocked, individual functions may not work properly.
Further information on the processing of personal data can be found in our privacy policy.
